Sotera is pleased to announce the addition of Stephanie Smith, PE, who has joined the organization as Director of Compliance Services – West. Based in California, Stephanie will lead compliance services across the West and Pacific Northwest while also supporting initiatives and clients at a national level.
Stephanie brings extensive experience in industrial refrigeration, CalARP programs, environmental compliance, and process safety management. Prior to joining Sotera, she served as Principal Engineer at Risk Management Professionals, where she played a key role in delivering technical compliance solutions and supporting clients across multiple regulated industries. Her strong connection to the industry includes active involvement with IIAR and contributions to best practices within the refrigeration safety community.
In addition to her industrial refrigeration and compliance expertise, Stephanie is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE). Her background also includes environmental consulting work, where she supported soil and groundwater assessments, sampling programs, and environmental project management.
In her new role, Stephanie will support Sotera’s expansion throughout the West and Pacific Northwest, lead our compliance services team, and collaborate on project management activities, annual client engagement, and technical program development. Her deep knowledge of PSM, engineering, and industrial refrigeration systems further strengthens Sotera’s capabilities as we continue to grow.
